OIG UPDATE

The USPS OIG is a critical organization that monitors the health and performance of the USPS and reports its findings to postal ratepayers. Join us Thursday when one of the OIG’s key staff discussing the group’s latest activities and findings. Key points of the discussion will be recent OIG audit work around the DFA, including progress on improvements at the RPDCs, local transportation optimization, and future audit plans.

Leo has 20 years of Government Auditing and broad Postal Service experience dating back to college when he worked summers as a letter carrier. He joined the USPS OIG in 2005 and has worked on and led numerous audits of the Postal Service. His audit work includes looking at areas such as financial audits of retail and delivery units, data analysis and performance, major investments, cost and pricing, supply management and facilities, as well as Congressional and CIGIE requested work. Recently, he has overseen notable audits of the Postal Service’s Delivering for America plan in network processing including the Effectiveness of the New Regional Processing and Delivery Center (RPDC) in Atlanta, GA. Leo has a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Accounting from Babson College, and is also a Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Fraud Examiner and holds the Certificate in Risk Management Assurance.
