USPS Service-ish Standards. Just How Long Should It Take?
How long does it take for a piece of mail to be delivered? How long should it take? How long will it take next month? Next year?
Understanding how mail moves and how long it takes to be delivered is essential. The Postal Service has service standards, of course, but what do those really mean? Are they a suggestion or a goal? And now the Postal Service is planning a complex new set of service standards. Will that impact commercial mailers?
We’ll look at those questions and more with Dave Lewis, President of SnailWorks. Dave and SnailWorks measure the performance of billions of pieces of mail and have a unique insight into how mail moves and what new service standards can mean.
Dave will join us for a webinar on Postal Service performance now and where it’s headed. Among the things he will be covering:
- A snapshot of service performance today;
- Insights into where mail may get delayed and what causes the delays;
- The new service standards, and how they will work;
- The difference between 5D and 3D service standards;
- What mailers can do to optimize service and manage their customers’ expectation.
Dave will be joined by Leo Raymond, Commissar of Mailers Hub, for his unique insights into what’s going on inside the Postal Service. If you care when mail gets delivered, you should make a point of joining us. If you don’t care, then we are very jealous.
